  Job Description:

1. Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Assisting in formulating operational targets, timelines, and monitoring mechanisms.

  • Providing strategic and operational guidance to departments and units.

2. Administrative & Operational Oversight

  • Overseeing financial, administrative, and operational functions as assigned.

  • Ensuring optimal utilization of resources to achieve institutional goals.

3. Compliance & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitoring departmental performance.

  • Ensuring compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Educational Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Management or Humanities (Economics)

  • Minimum Second Division or equivalent

  • Degrees from foreign universities must have an equivalency certificate


2. Experience Requirement

  • Minimum 7 years of managerial-level experience in:

    • Banking sector

    • Financial institutions

    • Cooperative sector

    • Or related sector

  • Must have experience handling operations, administration, compliance, and strategic planning


3. Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial management, banking operations, and cooperative sector

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (NRB directives, policies, and standards)

  • Ability to create and implement business plans and performance monitoring systems

  • Proficiency in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lead multiple departments and manage cross-functional teams


4. Managerial & Leadership Skills

  • Strong leadership with the ability to guide department heads

  • Expertise in decision-making and operational management

  • Ability to monitor performance and enforce compliance

  • Excellent organizational and supervisory skills

  • Capability to manage large-scale institutional operations


5. Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to prepare a 4-year business plan addressing:

    • Key issues

    • Challenges

    • Strategic solutions for NCBL

  • Must be comfortable working closely with the CEO and Board

  • Must be capable of representing the bank in high-level meetings and events

Education + Experience

Master's degree in management or Humanities (Economics) from a recognized university with a minimum of second division or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of managerial-level experience in bank, financial institution, cooperative, or related sector.
